Former Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker, co-chair of RightCount Pennsylvania, meets with Berks County Elections Director Anne Norton and County Commissioner Christian Leinbach
Reading, PA: Today, former Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker, co-chair of RightCount Pennsylvania, visited the Berks County Election Center to observe firsthand the systems and protocols in place to protect the integrity of local elections. During the visit, Schweiker met with Berks County Elections Director Anne Norton, former Congressman Jim Gerlach and County Commissioner Christian Leinbach to discuss ongoing preparations for the current election cycle.
Following the tour, Schweiker issued the following statement:
“As a former county commissioner and governor, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication of our local election officials. What we witnessed today at the Berks County Elections Center reinforces what I know to be true: Pennsylvania’s election infrastructure is secure, professional, and built to ensure every eligible vote is counted accurately. These systems are designed with multiple layers of protection and transparency, so every Pennsylvanian, regardless of party, can express full faith in the process. RightCount Pennsylvania is about putting facts before politics. Our role is to cut through misinformation and ensure voters know the truth: our elections are safe, accurate, and secure thanks to the tireless work of local officials like those here in Berks County,” Schweiker, said.
